I'm going to Disney in 2007 and will be staying off site at a friend's Time Share. I know i cannot book a character dining without staying at a Disney Hotel , right? But can I reserve it the Day that i'm there in the park. My kids would love a character dining.

As far I know you don't have to be on site in order to take advantage of CD , but I would definately make reservations to ensure seating as the restaurants are usually packed to maximum capacity.

You most certainly can make a reservation for character dining or any other dining at WDW regardless of where you are staying. In fact if you want to dine with the characters I highly recommend you make them as soon as you can.

Right now you can make reservations or ADR's as Disney calls them (Advance Dining Reservations) 180 days in advance. Many of the character meals fill up fast so its a good idea to make the reservation.

Here is some more great information:

OH THANK YOU SO MUCH

I had no idea, I am SO excited!!!!!!! My kids will be too. I went to Disney world last year too, but it will be so much better next year after learning all i have already from the Disboards. Thanks Again

You can make ADR's even if you are staying off site. Make them early for best selection of times and dates!!

Enjoy!
