Question about changing a ressie--help!

We have a BCV ressie for 6 nights in November. I might need to cancel the first night (i.e. arrive on Thursday, not Wednesday as originally planned).

Will this be a problem, or will they just change the ressie? I feel like this is a stupid question, but I'm just not sure how that would work. . .

It should not be a problem. I have dropped the first day on a reservation without losing the entire thing. I have also dropped the last day. It's only a problem when you want to drop something in the middle.

Just be sure the MS understands that you want to drop just the first day and keep the rest. Also, you need to do it at least 31 days prior to arrival or the returned points will go into the holding account.

MS will modify the reservation in this case. The reservation number will stay the same.
