Hi, I am new to the boards and was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the Exploration Series and the Collegiate Courses?

The CareerStart Program offers most of the same classes as the International and College Programs, save the Professional Development Studies (which are major specific).

As far as the two types of classes you've mentioned:
  • Disney Exploration Series classes offer participants to learn more about how different areas of the Walt Disney World Resort operate. There's several disciplines to select from (Marketing, Communication, People Management (HR), Guest Service, Leadership), and each has weekly lectures from experts, leaders and executives from that respective operating area. These classes are great for networking, and do not carry any work outside of the classroom (the courses are not graded). More info here.
  • Disney Collegiate Courses are courses recommended for credit by the American Council on Education. These classes have similar academic rigor to those found at colleges and universities, and are focused around several areas of Disney's expertise. Some (but not all) schools offer credit for these courses. Traditional lectures, classwork and tests are part of the game with these courses. They do require some work outside of the classroom, and upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a "Ducktorate" degree. More info here.
If you have specific questions on either, post back. There are several of us on here who have completed various courses in both class types.

Thanks.

I have another question. How many classes are you allowed to take on the Career Start program? I was wondering because I am interested in three classes.

It's two per each term for all participants of the College, CareerStart and International programs. For the CareerStart Program, the spring season covers two education terms (so up to four courses), while the fall season covers one term (up to two courses).
