I have a CP package for Garden Grill at 8:10 on Christmas Eve. When the CM on the phone asked what time I wanted to see the show, I said 6:45, and then she offered the 8:10 GG seating. Well, we decided that's too close for us to hurry and try to make, so we'd like to do the 5:00 show instead, so we won't be rushed trying to get to our dinner. We were planning on being in The American Adventure anyway, at 3:30 for Santa, and then eating a late counter service lunch there before the show, so the 5:00 show would actually work great for us. My question is, are we locked into the 6:45 show, so I would have to call and change to the 5:00, or did she ask that just as a guideline for making the package reservation? Can we just choose to go to the 5:00 when we pick up the tickets or will they say 6:45 on them?

Your tickets will be for 6:45 show and will be printed and color coded for that performance, you can't use 6:45 badge(ticket) to go to 5:00 show.

Danny1649 is correct - you'll need to call and change the PS to the 5:00 show if that's what you want to do.

If it's too late to make the change (it's very possible that all the shows for Christmas Eve are already sold out), don't worry. THe CP shows last 40 - 45 minutes. That means you'll have at least 40 minutes to get to the GG for your dinner. Even if you have to go slowly due to the crowds, you should have plenty of time to make it.

Best wishes -

I'll try to change it........I have heard it's better when it's darker, so maybe the 5:00 isn't full yet.

You do think we'll have time? Someone else told me no way on Christmas Eve with having to check in 15 min. early..........said table would be given away if we didn't get there at least 15 min early, and we couldn't possible get from the back of WS to the front of FW in that time frame.

I think they have taken all this into consideration, which is the reason they ask you for your preferred showtime prior to offering the PS times available. Each show is linked to certain PS times. I'm assuming that this is done, because they don't want people booking a PS and show too close together, that WDW doesn't think you can make. Since they offered you this PS time in correspondence with your requested show time, I'm sure your PS will be honored, even if you are a little late, due to the crowd congestion.

I think you will be OK, you have about 40 minutes to get to GG. I have also found that they are usually running behind, so if you are a little late you'll still be OK. We've never checked in 15 minutes before.

Just to agree with the presious poster on timing. I went to the 6:45 show, had dinner ressies at 7:45 at R&C . Since I had no trouble walking there for 7:45, I would think that you could get further over to GG in another 25 minutes without any problem. I didn't feel rushed at all.

especially what was said about them offering that time and honoring it crowd congestion or not......................and always nice to get a personal experience, too!

Okay, now I'm concerned. I booked the CP dinner package for Christmas Eve. We are to attend the 5pm show and have dinner at LeCellier at 8pm. I booked it over the phone and gave a credit card, but I've not received anything for it. Last time we did this (several years ago), I don't think I got anything. We just told the CM at show and she checked a list. Have things changed? Do I have a problem here?

They do not send anything out. All you get is your confirmation # over the phone. Has your credit card been charged? One thing I do is bring my credit card statement with me just in case. Never had a problem though. They usually remind me at check-in to pickup my tickets at the guest relations desk in the hotel (BWV).
