We have a trip planned for mid June at the Polynesian. My DH just broke his arm yesterday. We may have to cancel or postpone the trip. I do not want to go and spend that kind of money if he is in a cast and cannot fully enjoy the trip. Won't know how long he will be in a cast til tomorrow after we see the orthopedic surgeon. So, my questions is, can you move your trip to a different date and not forfeit any money? Does anyone know? :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

We are booked through Triple aaa and have the trip insurance, we are allowed to cancel for a medical reason up until the day before we depart at 11:59 PM. If you bought the trip insurance whether through disney or a travel agent, I would assume you would be able to move or cancel. If you did not buy the insurance, I think you are out the money but not for sure. Hopefully this helps you.

Thanks. We booked straight through Disney. I believe my DH told me we could cancel up to 14 days before the trip and get everything back except $200. I wondered if we didn't cancel but just moved the dates if they would still charge us the $200?

Do you have room only or a package? For room only, there's a full refund up to 6 days before. For a package, it's a $100 charge for cancellations 6 to 45 days before. For changes, it's $50 for changes less than 21 days before.

Sorry if this is a double post. Don't think the first one went through.

If you have room only ressies, just call and change your dates. I was scheduled to go in late May, but had to postpone. Changed everything to january 06. There was no penalty.
can't help with package deals, though.

When we have had to cancell our trip last year they offered us the option to either change our ressies or refund our ressies without a penalty. You should have no problem doing either one HTHs. :flower:

We had a package booked through Disney last year and had to change out dates and I was not charged a fee. We did have to change due to a hurricane though, that may have been the difference. It can't hurt to call and ask them, see what they say.

Thanks. Yes, we have a package deal. I will postpone rather than cancel. I am not giving up this trip. We just may have to go at a later date.

I don't have any info on cancellations, just wanted to say I hope your DH recovers fully and quickly!

tricia.

I wanted to let everyone know the good news - No surgery and no cast - just a dislocated elbow and sprained wrist. He has 5 weeks to go to physical therapy and get it in shape for Disney. We do not have to cancel or post-pone our trip!!!! YEAH!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
