Question about Cancelling a Reservation

I have a reservation for 6 people that I am going to cancel. I have someone interested in it, but they only need 2. If I go in to modify and release 2 at a time, will that increase the chances of the trade being successful, or would it be better to drop all 6 at once?

I didn't think there was a way to modify the number of people on a single ADR, aside from actually calling and having a CM change it over the phone.
But that, to me, would be a pain to have to call 3 times to drop 2 at a time.
