Question about calling?

Okay, we are new at this, but have already made one DVC stay at OKW.

We have a BWV BW view for this summer. We love BC, but we have never stayed at BCV. During our summer stays we leave really early and play at the parks, but then we come back to our resort, swim, nap, and head back out to the parks once it is dark. We LOVE Stormalong Bay at BC!

How would I go about seeing if a stay could be available for our time at BCV instead of BWV? All of our points are used up, so will they check and then cancel our stay at BWV and make a BCV reservation, or do they cancel my BWV before they even check for BCV? I think this is the right thing to do, but I don't know how it works?

You can call and first check whether BCV is available. If so, you then, on the same call, cancel your prior ressie and make the new one. Be aware there is a risk -- a few have reported before of losing the availability of the new reservation on the phone during the time it takes to cancel the old reservation and lock in new one with the result they end up with no reservation, old or new one. That does not usually happen but it can.
