Question about calling the resort

I know check in isn't until 3 but can you call the resort the day before and see if the room assigner assigned your room already to see if it would be ready if you were to arrive prior to check in time say around 10am?

It would depend on what time the person before you checks out. It also depends on how crowded the resort is when you are going. Also until you check in that room could be assigned to someone else.

If you don't have a lot of requests you can ask when you check in and they can put you in a room that is done.

Check in time isn't until 3PM for non-DVC resorts. And it could be anywhere after that as well.

When you call the resort, you will probably get a call center and not the front desk. However, they will identify themselves as the hotel front desk.
