Question about cabin discounts?

After having such a fantastic Ft Wilderness vacation back in April 2015, we are planning another trip in 2017! We are thinking about staying in a cabin end of February. Does Disney ever include the cabins in the winter/spring discounts? I was looking at the Play, Stay and Dine promotion from the last few years, but I can't see if the cabins were included or excluded. What about the room only discounts? We are trying to decide if we should go with a cabin or rent an RV again. Thanks for your help!

The other avenue I would suggest is to watch Orbitz. Sometimes you can snag a deal through them for Disney resorts (which include the cabins). But not every resort is listed for a given date and even when listed it's not always a great deal. But it's another channel to compare when planning.

The only thing about using Orbitz that I have gleaned from the Resorts board is that you have to take two extra steps to get the Orbitz room to work in MDE. First, once you have the Orbitz reservation, call them to get the real Disney 12-digit reservation number to load/link into MDE which they will gladly provide. Second, you have to go in and change the shipping address for the Magic Bands if you are getting the ones with that reservation since the default address is Orbitz's office in Chicago.

So Disney discount or online, check all channels.
