Hi! We are staying for the first time at BWV in a preferred studio location because there were no standard rooms available. I was just wondering exactly what are the options for preferred rooms? Do you get a view of the pool? Epcot?

Thanks! :wave2:

bumpin b/c I am looking for the difference between teh two as well.

What's funny is I'm begining to wonder if there is a difference?!? :earboy2: Have I been had? Is there really not a preferred room for the Studios at the BWV??? :confused3 That would be my luck....

Last December, I had to book a sort of last minute trip for a friend to join us at BWV and only a "preferred view" studio was available for her and her hubby. Their balcony faced the clown pool area. There is also a preferred Boardwalk view, but that's a special category itself, and if you had that, I think it would say Boardwalk view, don't know that for a fact, never stayed in one.

If you have a Preferred view - Pool/Garden, you could end up overlooking either of the pools, the canal that goes to MGM, the Swan/Dolphin resorts, the new croquet lawn (when it's finished) or even the Village Green (lawn between the lake and the lobby. There are only a few studios in this area).

The Preferred View - BW view rooms are just that - they overlook the Boardwalk and are a separate booking category (even though they cost the same number of points). If you have one, it will say Boardwalk view on yor confirmatuion letter.

If you booked through CRO, there is only one category - room ssignments are ROH (Run of the House), which means you could be assigned to either a Standard View or a PV - Pool/Garden. No cash reservations are assigned to BW view - those are reserved for members who pay with points. Most cash reservations end up in the PV - Pool/Garden category.

Best wishes-

Thank-you so much for your replies! :wave2:

A friend of mine let me rent the points from her but she's been out of town, so I couldn't ask her what the difference was in the preferred room over the standard studio. The total for points did come out to be more than the standard, so I was hoping to get some kind of plus in our room location or something. Thanks again!

Well...Our preferred view was of the valet parking lot. It was a waste of points to be honest. I do not remember the room number, however, it was to the left of the lobby. Our room bordered the main road.

Our preferred view Studio room we were in last February would have had a nice view of the quiet pool but since we were on the 2nd floor, the tree had grown so large that it blocked all view of the pool and all we could see was the canal off to the left of the balcony.
Not much of a preferred view.
I think it was #2132. Plus the bathroom door lock was broken and I swear the bed was only a double instead of a queen. And there was no coffee table in front of the couch. And it was completely at the end of the hall - easier to walk to MGM than to the dock to get the boat.
Sorry to complain...
