If you are using the DC to purchase park hopper plus tickets before the end of the year, would you get the discount off of the advance purchase price or just the regular 'gate' price? I can't see Disney allowing 2 discounts go through. We're not planning on going to late next year, but if I can get the tickets now cheaper than I will next year, it might be worth getting them early! :D

The advanced purchase discount is only available to you when you purchase the tickets at TDS, not at the gate. If you call the stores or stop in, you will see the price for those hoppers w/o DC, and then with the DC. An example: buying the 5 day hopper + adult at TDS WITH your club discount would run around $250, buying it at the gate would run around $275. and you would NOT receive the DC discount. Those only apply now at the stores. So yes, there is an advantage to purchasing in advance at the store, in my estimation.

I know that the DC discount would only apply at purchases made at the store. But they also have a discount for everyone on these purchases as well. Would the DC discount be applied on top of the advance purchase price?

The no double dipping rule would apply;) If you were to advance purchase the hopper at TDS W/O your card, it would run around $263, which is cheaper than at the gate, again, WITH your card, it would be around $250, so either way, it is still cheaper than the $275 gate price. The $250 reflects the discounted price.

Hope this makes sense.

Take a look at the chart in this link:

Ticket Price Comparison Chart

You will see that there is a advance purchase discount on park hopper plus passes that is available to anyone and also a different discount for Disney Club holders. Keep in mind that for PHP passes, the DC discount is only available if you purchase your passes in advance.

You will see that the DC discount is greater than the advance purchase discount available to the general public.

HTH answer your question.

Hi,

the AAA website is showing 5 day parks hoppers (adult) for $222. each.

That's better than TDS or Ticketmania prices.

I have the basic package with just the room at 366.00 from April 15 - 18. Asked how much if I added the Ultimate Hopper and it is a whopping $8xx.xx more. Couldn't believe it, sooooo won't be buying that one.

Just curious, does this AAA price include FLA sales tax? in that $222. Cause it seems if you would deduct the sales tax from the TDS price, you are getting close to that $222. Again, just curious. I know that sometimes AAA does have a better deal, so it is worth checking out all options.

In the past, I've checked the AAA prices and they have been about 2-3 dollars cheaper than the regular prices at Disney Store--but I'm not sure if they give the DC discount on them.

Another plus, if you're one to call constantly, is that if you get the passes at the Disney Store, you get an 800 number to call to make reservations, etc. Even though I go twice a year, I'm on the phone to orlando a lot! So that would save me several bucks!
