Question about BunkBeds?

For those who may know. Are there any DVC rooms at WDW (studio or 1BR, at OKW, VWL, BCR, or BWV) that have bunk beds in them? I know about the 'standard' room layouts, still wondering about the bunk beds though.

None at any DVC. The only ones I've heard about are at WL, not VWL/DVC.

There are also bunk beds at AKL. But not at any of the DVC resorts.

We've discussed the possiblity here on this Board. The general concensus was that it was not a good idea. It is not in DVC's best interest to have a lot of room types and variations. If you can find a time when the search is working, you may be able to find the thread(s).

they are also in all the cabins at FW - they also have the Murray beds - I think that would been a better solution than the sofa beds that the DVC resorts have - I guess everyone is different....

I know a number of Timeshares that have the Murphy beds. It is actually a cheaper option to have a Murphy bed and a regular couch than a good quality pullout.

Honestly, I think I'd prefer a Murphy bed. I'm not really sure of the quality of the pull outs they use at DVC though....I mean, every one we've had at BWV has been either hard to pull out or fold back and they're not the most comfortable things. The ones at BCV seem okay...but I wonder if they'll end up the same as the ones at BWV over time.

yea not offense Dean - but after a hard day at the park - using a Murphy Bed you generally just need to move something and then put down the bed.

now you need to move the coffee table and sometimes a chair - then you need to try to pull it out - when I am tired this is a really problem -( but at least DVC resort sofa beds are already make up - Marriott's were not - and I was already tired.....)
the next morning you need to take the blankets off and put them aways before you try to reclose the beds - and yes I have had to call housekeeping/maintence to get the silly bed closed.

the Murphy bed was much simplier of course I have only tried those at FW - they are probably better than the ones you were talking about.

at FW there was also enough room space so that the chair that had to moved was okay were it was - so I just put the bed back - it was nice (so me anyway).

I just remember something - the things at FW that had to be moved was on wheels - why aren't the stuff at a DVC resort on wheels (like those coffee tables) - is it also because it won't look nice?

I'm confused. I think the Murphy bed would be fine, likely better than the pull out for the same sleeping capacity.
