Question about BRP

For those out there who have signed up using the BRP, have any of you noticed if your rates were ever lowered automaticly as they advertised. I know they promote the new program with saying that first off this is a very low rate, and when Disney releases their different codes for that period of your stay if those codes offer a lower price the people who booked with BRP will have their rates automaticly lowered.

Just wondering if any have noticed their rates lowered.

Thanks

No need to have the rate lowered so far. There really haven't been "code rates" avaiulable to the general public lately. If there wre, they weren't lower than the rates offered by the BRP. AFAIK, the rates for the BRP are still the lowest offered to the general public.

Best wishes-

as previous posted has said, there really isn't anything to compare the rates to yet... knowing Disney, there will not be a lower general public rate. They will mail post cards or offer it a different way, so the "general public" will not get a lower rate than the BR users.

I booked a room using the BRP when the program was first offered (needed 120 days back than). and have not received a reduction in room rate to date.

Right now WDW has ap discounts on rooms booked up to and including Oct 4th. I am assuming (perhaps hopeful is more like it) that we will receive a rate reduction once they decide discounts for rooms effective after October 4th.

There is no rate to lower the rate to. We are booked through the BRP for two rooms at POR for our upcoming Thanksgiving trip. We have a rate of $109 plus tax a night. I have not heard of anyone being able to get a standard view room at a moderate for less.

We also have a savanna view room at the AKL for our Jan 2006 trip booked through the BRP also. The rate is $239.74 a night inc taxes through the BRP. While this rate is considerably higher then the AP rate we paid for the same type of room for our Jan 2005 trip right now it is the "best rate" that Disney is offering for this room type for Jan 2006.

Tiffany if i'm not mistaken, 109.00 + is a discounted price for a moderate. the rack rates for mods are usually 134 to 154.00/nite.

When you booked online using the BR program was 109.00 the rate that was shown for a Moderate resort??

When I booked it had 144.00 as the rate (PO-RS for Oct) but stated I was booking under the "Best Rate Program".

You are correct that $109 plus tax is the discounted rate. That is the whole point of the BRP. If they do not have discounted rooms avaiable you get an error message telling you that there are no rooms avaiable through the BRP for the options you slected and that you can either change your search options or be linked to the regular system to book at that price.

I know when they first rolled the BRP out you did not get an error message but an actual quoted rate but it did tell you in the fine print that it was not a "best rate". They have since changed that.

I've said this elsewhere, but I'll add it here too....

The Best Rates being offered are the same discounts (or a bit more) than the last round of AP rates..... :sunny:
