Question about borrowed points and reservations.

Hi, I can't believe I have to ask this question. Here it goes, I borrowed points for my November reservations, my use year is Dec. I just found out my stepmothers ovarian cancer is back and we will found out Monday if surgery or chemo is even an option. It's bad. If I have to cancel my reservation because of her health decline or worst, will Disney listen to my situation and allow me to keep my points or rebook my reservation for a later date? Do they allow certain circumstances and forgive the borrowing and losing of points.

There have been reports of a one time hardship point adjustment. It isn't in writing and it depends who you talk to.

First, I am sorry to hear about your stepmom. Borrowing is usually a final transaction. I have heard that in past times, they have made exceptions and allowed people to bank beyond the deadline, but never read about anyone getting borrowed points to be returned to their UY.

Having said that, you can only call and explain things and see what they say. The worst will be no.
