So I have a chance to book and save some money on booking at pop through Expedia. However, I am going to book for Two people, me and wife, but we will add two friends when they pay for their plane tix. I know its an extra $10 a night extra per person that will be added on, but do I get charged through Expedia or Disney when I do add then?

Anything you do with an Expedia reservation is going to be through Expedia, until after you have checked in. You would have to call Expedia to add them to your reservation.

You can always add the two when you check in, unless they will need Magical Express.

Yes they will need magical express. Do we still get the same perks if we book through Expedia as if we would right from disney ?

Yes. It is a Disney resort. You're just booking it through a different party.

You will need to call Expedia and ask them what to do about adding two additional persons to your reservation at a later date.

You can book Magical Express for them separately - you will need Expedia to give you the Disney confirmation number so you can do this. You can do it online, or call DME directly.

It might actually be easier to remove them later than add them, that is why you need to call Expedia and find out what their procedures are.

If you book a package and add the two extra friends prior to arrival, they need to have the identical package as you have booked - including dining and tickets.

You can't book Disney resort packages through Expedia. Even if you can buy tickets through them, it's still considered a separate transaction.

If you book the resort rooms through Expedia or priceline, how do you add the dining plan?

You don't.

To add a dining plan, you must be able to book a Magic Your Way package.

Third party brokers don't have the ability to book packages. You might see things like airlines offering packages through their websites. That is because the airline is acting as your travel agency, and travel agencies can book packages by going through Disney. But a third party broker will book room-only reservations, not packages. If you want to get a dining plan, you need to book a package reservation directly through Disney or via a travel agent who books with Disney on your behalf. (DVC reservations - made through DVC Member Services - can get a dining plan, but they are totally different.)
