Question about booking Cinderella's Royal Table

Hi all!

When booking CRT online, I noticed that you can either pay for it in full at time of booking, OR say that you will use the dining plan to pay for it. What if you haven't booked your hotel/dining plan yet, but want to book CRT now? Our friends want to go to Disney in the fall, but don't want to book the actual trip until a possible discount is released. They fully intend to get the dining plan. Is there any way to still book CRT without having to pay for it up front? TIA!

No. Unless you already have the dining plan when you make the ADR, CRT must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Thank you! If you do pay in full at time of booking, but then get the dining plan, can you get a refund? If so, do you know how that would work?

Yes! Once they have the dining plan booked, they can either call the dining line to get a refund, or the restaurant can do it when they get there.

Yes you can get a refund. If you call make sure that the CM knows to modify the ADR, not cancel and rebook, that is risky IMO. Otherwise just tell them at the restaurant and you can use your DDP credits and have the card refunded. If it was me, I would wait until I got there to do the refund.

had the same situation last year. made CRT ADR before I had a resort ressie with DP. Got an FD PIN a month later but was afraid I would lose the ADR as a few people have posted happened if the CM doesn't do it right and was not going to risk it.

When we used the ADR I told them we had prepaid and I got a credit back to my credit card in a few days.Was not a big deal for me because the money to pay for the trip was already in the bank and I used that to pay my credit card.
