Question about booking a package and ticket choice

We are AP holders therefore really don't need tickets. I was wondering if those of you who are booking packages now (in hopes of FD) are adding 1 or 2 day tickets? I booked 2 day but understandably would prefer 1 day. If free dining becomes available for my dates and only 1 day is required can I downgrade? TIA

I'm sure they will require 2 days for free dining.

from what i have been told by CMs and read on the disboards, you need to book a minimum of 3 nights at a disney resort and buy 2 base tickets. we only put 2 base tickets on our package since that was the minimum, and then we bought a 10 day no expiration park hopper using a military discount.

We're you able to apply the 2 day tickets? May I ask how much they came to each? We are eligible and would love to know.

i can't remember the actual price of the 2 day base tickets since we added them at the time of the booking (actually, it automatically added 8 base day tickets to our package since we were there for 7 nights/8 days). so when i chose the 2 day base ticket option instead of the 8, it just subtracted the amount from our package total. know what i mean?

i'm sorry i can't help you more with that. i know at the time that the 2 day base ticket through disney was only slightly more expensive than if we had just gotten a 2 day base ticket through the military (the only difference was there were no taxes on the military ones). but there was a huge difference in price when we chose a 10 day no expiration hopper through disney compared to the military. so that is why we just did the minimum 2 day base ticket through disney in order to get free dining. sorry i can't help more.

You can go over to the theme parks and strategies board. There is a sticky all about tickets. You can NOT use the tickets and save them for a later date towards any type of ticket.

Hi,

I too am a passholder. By arranging my arrival date I was able to get 14 days of free dining (14 table serve, 14 counter serve, and 14 snacks) for EACH of us

We were required to buy a 2 day park pass ($377.00 for both) and got 14 days of free dining for that $377.00!! We won't use the 2 day passes at this time, but will use them later when we don't have an AP or to upgrade to next year's AP.

Patti :)
