My DH and I are staying at BLT in September. My mother and stepfather will be staying at ASM at the same time. Will we be able to invite them up to the BLT viewing of fireworks with us, or does everyone have to be a DVC member? Thanks:)

It is for BLT guests only, staying on a reservation made through Member Services (so either a points stay or a cash booking through MS). Your KTTW card must say DVC member on it, which is what happens when you book that way through MS (in almost all cases except maybe some rare renting situations).

I have not yet heard or seen anyone post about taking guests with them that were staying elsewhere.

Are you on the dining plan? If not, you could add your parents to your room reservation and they would get a key.

Ok, the rule is: Only DVC members staying on points. However, the CM in the lobby only asks to see one card, and if it is not busy, I seriously doubt you'd be turned away.

The rule is DCV members staying at BLT or their guests staying at BLT.

The CM in the lobby sometimes ask to see all of the guest KTTW cards as there have been reports to that effect here on the DisBoards.

If you are denied entry your option then would be to take your in laws to the viewing platform at the Contemporary Resort near the skybridge.

Thanks for the answers everyone. At the risk of being criticized for "breaking the rules", lol, I did call and add them to our reservation so they would have a KTTW card.

:thumbsup2 Great! When we stay at BCV we sometimes have our DF who live in Florida visit us and I've always added their name to our reservation so they can enjoy SAB with us. If I have too many people to do that, I simply book another room for the day.

Now I know why i can't find a seat at the pool.

I truly doubt that's the case. We're never above rooom capacity!:goodvibes For the 4th of July, our reservations would accomodate 16 and our total is 12. Yup, figure it out, strictly speaking we could have not booked one of the studios.
