So, I'm turning 30 in Feb. and to celebrate my wife suprised me with a trip to Disney World! However, because of the kids vacation schedule we are not able to go on my actual birthday. My wife wants to pick one day while we are there to be my birthday celebration day and we're wondering if, depite the fact it's not my actual birthday, will I still be elbible for fun Disney birthday stuff. I mean, are they gonna card me?!?

Don't worry about it. I took my girlfriend for her 30th and I told people "we're here this week celebrating her birthday" and we were treated to all kinds of goodies. I don't think they mind at all.

I don't think they'll card you. But you will be lying about it. I guess it's up to you but I wouldn't lie just to get free stuff.

We are going to Disney World to celebrate my grandson's birthday. This is our gift to him for his birthday. We chose 1 day to celebrate because we won't be there for his actual birthday since his parents would like him to be home for his actual birthday. I don't think of it as lying because we are there to celebrate his birthday not looking for free stuff. If it happens then that's just a bonus. :flower:

We are not in the parks on my dad's actual birthday - but the day afterwards - so I still plan to get his a button and I am making special shirts for all of us too.

Enjoy your birthday celebration :)

I want to celebrate turning 30 at the park next Feb - but it is smack dab in the middle of school vacations - when i will not hit that park if people paid me - so I asked my DH if we could celebrate it there in March :)

Have fun!

We are doing the same for DD's 3rd birthday. When I called to make dining reservations, the CM said she was going to make a note of it on every ADR. I told her it would be a week after her actual birthday, and she told me "this is Disney World. Celebrate!!!"

My DD's 14th b-day at our end of August trip next year, and her actual date is on the 6th. I mentioned to the CM that we were going for her b-day and she made a note of it on our reservations. When we got the confirmation, it was so noted on it. She assured me that it was ok. She said that alot of people celebrate when they come. Some cannot make it on the actual date and there is no reason not to celebrate a special day at Disney, no matter when the actual date is!!!! :cool1:
