When you use the dining plan, does your bill indicate the price you paid per item, or does it just say 1 table service redeemed or something to that effect?

No, it shows you how much your bill wouldve been.

Well, wait a minute. This is how it went for us in Nov using the DDP for the first time.

The original bill would indicate all the prices. But the second bill (our copy), the one you sign after you give the waitress your KTTK card, didn't have any price info on it. It would give you a total of how many DDP credits you have left. After a few meals, I realized we didn't have any receipts with the the meal cost totals on them, and reminded DH to WRITE the bill total on our copy from the original!

As Goofygal says, you typically get multiple slips. First you get an ordinary bill, then a second one showing the items you ate and the muber of credits used. Sometimes they are on one slip.

Sometimes you get one or two more slips as well - one for items not covered in DDP (Alcohol, appetizers, extra sides, etc.)( to sign and return and a copy to keep), a charge slip for just the tip (one to sign, and one to keep). I actually had five slips to keep from one meal from last fall! Though some meals were only two slips. (one at QS places)

If anything it gets confusing having all those slips of paper.

As of March they still used the same system. I keep wondering though if they will find a way to condense it and use less paper.
