Question About Being Reported

My best friend was offering to trade codes for diver suits. (Ye Would Be, etc.) And they were all unused, I know she wouldn't trade a used one. Someone reported her today for offering to trade them. She didn't trade any, but offered to. So, someone reported her. We are really worried she will get banned. She plays everyday like I do. Will she get banned? Does anyone know? TIA!

Did your friend actually get a message from Staff in the game that she had been reported and to stop sharing information, or did that other player in the game just say they reported your friend?

The only reason I can see that she may get a warning from staff (or a ban from staff, if it comes to that) is because you can not give codes inside the game- your friend would have to arrange to message the other player on another board like the Dis or fan site, and promoting that from within the game is apparently frowned upon by staff to protect kids and identities :confused3

If she did not get a message in game from staff then I would probably not worry about it as that was an empty threat from the other player. But also do not let your friend continue to try to give or trade codes from within the game either for the reason stated above...Trading of codes will need to be initiated and carried out from the outside (like on the vmk trade board here on the Dis).
Good luck!

No, they just said that she would be reported. But she ment trading the codes in the game. Like, if it was DMUK, she would put, Door Meet U Kay, or something like that. But as far as know, she did not get anything from staff.

I've had people tell me that they reported me for stupid stuff before, but no messages from staff. And I've reported people for actually breaking rules, and I get a message saying to send an email through Contact Us. Most losers that false report would be too lazy for that I bet, so I think your friend is probably safe. :)
