Question about banked points and reservation in future UY

Hi - I'm a fairly new (1 year) DVC member who has never had to bank points (yet) -

I have an August UY and just made a November 2023 reservation using UY 2023 points. I will likely bank some UY 2022 points on these contracts before my March 31 deadline, but haven't done so yet.

Once I bank these points, will that existing reservation prioritize the banked points, or do I need to go in and modify the reservation to prioritize the banked points?

You would have to go in and modify the reservation for it to use the banked points. You can modify and not actually change anything but go through the process of re-booking it. Then the points will pull from the banked ones first.

To add, you want to make sure you do the reallocation of the banked points into that trip at least 31 days or more before it happens so that you don't end up with holding points. Best thing is to do it right after you bank so you don't forget!!!
