Question about baked mac and cheese

This is probably a stupid question , but I have a baked mac & cheese recipe I want to try. It calls for 1 cup of cream. What kind of cream would I use?

Well, I wouldn't use cream at all just whole milk since I use skim or 2% when it calls for whole milk.

But seriously, you could use half & half, light cream or heavy cream if you'd like. You just can't use whipped cream.
