I was wondering if anybody has done this excursion previously? It says that lunch is included, can anybody tell me where? How long were you able to stay in the aquarium/at Atlantis in general?

Thanks:goodvibes

When we traveled we were given a coupon to utilize for lunch. It got us a cheeseburger, drink and chips/fries I recall

We did Atlantis independently by booking a room at the hotel next door. If I remember it is a Comfort Inn but you get passes to all the Atlantis attractions and it was 1/3 the price. Plus we had a room to retreat to if we were getting tired or exhausted and it was super nice to take a shower and get dressed before getting back on the ship. Just a thought

I've heard this idea before but I'm curious about checking in at the hotel. Since check-in is usually at 3:00 p.m., how do you get passes to get into Atlantis early in the morning? Does the hotel let you check-in that early even if your room isn't ready and give you the passes?

we did this last year. We checked in and checked out at the same time at 10 AM. They gave us a certificate (basicly the room charge slips) that we showed at the towel hut and they gave us wrist bands and towels.

I'm not sure I would do the Atlantis beach day. You don't get to use the pools. For less money, book the comfort suites and you can do both.

There was also two of us, and we found two other nice people on our cruise meet thread to get to the max four people in the room and the lowest price per person.

We also checked in early no problem. It was super nice to have the full use of the pools and slides there. The beach is okay but nothing like the resort pools etc. I booked the Comfort inn online but forgot which site I used. I think it was during a travelocity sale though if I remember.

Forgot to add that the reason you can check in early is they basically have the room saved the night before even though you are not there. The way they see it is they can flip it quick after you leave for the after 3 p.m. arrivals since you barely if at all use the room. Really most people just get the wrist bands, go up and change then come back possibly shower and change again.

How could this work for 5 people in a party (3 adults and 2 kids)? Would we still have to get 2 rooms to get the Atlantis passes, even though we wouldn't be staying in the room?

I have small children that will not use the waterslides, pools etc.

We really do want to check out the aquariums and the hotel itself....Is there a charge for this??

There is a charge to visit The Dig, but depending on the age of the children they may be free. You can walk around the Atlantis hotel all you want for no fee though.

Comfort Suites knows the cruise ship people are just renting rooms for Atlantis passes.... and they dont' care. Most people, like myself, just check in and check out at the same time, then you dont' have to go back over to ComfortSuites after you are done. So they are making money doing nothing for you but a 5 min check in. The kids meals are HUGE... like 8 chicken nuggets. I had myself and my two daughters age 10 and 7, we got one adult regular chicken sandwhich, a chicken nugget kid meal and an order of nachos and I was looking for people to give food to, we had a ton, so you can definitely share your meals.

I am not sure if they let you look around the pool area without getting a wristband for either aquaventure or the beach day. They had someone by the one door checking and they stopped us and asked for our card from CS.

We absolutely loved our day at Atlantis.
