Question about archive threads

Hi,
I used to have links to subscribed threads back in 2006. Several of them were "mega threads" and I'm looking to search through those for a story that was told around August 2006. Were these extra large threads deleted? Do they live somewhere else than www.disboards.com/archive ?

The mega threads were all closed at one point and then when they were brought back they were broken up into smaller segments using the same Thread Title and then something like Part 1, 2, 3. Can't remember the exact wording.

I would do a search on the thread title if you can remember it.

Okay, I just checked my subscribed threads-- dang was that a trip down memory lane! It looks like the mega thread change happened in 2008 and all currently active threads were broken up. The one I looked up had been started the beginning of 2006. I did a search for the main title that was used and it brought up all the "parts" that the thread was broken into.

If you know who the poster is that you are looking for then when you get the list of threads from search you click on the number showing in the Replies column (probably will be 5000 if it is broken up part) and it will bring up all the names of the posters and how many posts they have. Then click on the number next to their name and you will get a search list of all of their posts from that thread. Hopefully that will help you to find what you are looking for. Looks like you may be in for some reading!
