Question about AP vouchers (I guarantee you you're not expecting this one...)

This is really inane.

I scrapbook, and I LOVE those AP vouchers I got at the Disney store.

When you activate them, do they destroy the vouchers, or might I have a chance at getting them back to put in my scrapbook?

I can't believe I'm asking this. And you know what's worse? I was debating whether I should put the question here, or on the scrapbook forum.

Well I don't think you're insane, but then again I'm a scrapbooker too. However you do not get the voucher back. They will take it from you in exchange for giving you your actual AP.

Okay, so I'm digging around in my Disney box. All I can find is the paperwork I received in the mail. I must have given the voucher card and not got it back when I activated my pass. I'm truly having a senior moment and don't remember for sure. I do remember trading in FITS vouchers and not getting them back. I guess you could ask when you activate the pass.

I'm also a scrapbooker and I thought why don't you just make a copy of it before you turn it in, a color copy would be nice for the book.

I think you should ask, too. Perhaps they can mark it void/used somehow and allow you to keep it for your scrapbook. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if others have asked them this in the past.

I will make a color copy before I leave, and then just ask when I turn it in!

It's got a mag strip on it, so I assumed it would be in their computers as unuseable.

I have mine, they ask me if I'd like to keep them as a momento....I'd ask if I were you.

they stamp void on the back of them when you turn them in. if you want them back, just ask. the worst they could do is say no.

You should be able to get them back but you have to ask. It isn't done automagically. They are not normally returned. However, like many things Disney, it will depend largely on the Guest Relations CM you get.
