Question about annual pass???

I've never bought an annual pass before but now that I'am a DVC owner it may be the most prudent way to go that way we can use it twice or even three times in the year. So here is my question....when you purchase the pass,according to the WDW official site, they send you a voucher which you exchange for your pass on arrival...this is clear...it then becomes active, so what happens if I buy my pass right now but don't travel until next March...it shouldn't be active until I activate it correct???How does this work???What if I have the money now to do this in prep for my first trip"home" next March??Can I keep it in a drawer for a year until I activate it???Can this be done????Any ideas on how this works let me know!!!

You are correct. What you get from Disney is a voucher which you exchange for an AP. You can keep the voucher until you are ready to turn it in ... So if you buy the voucher now and turn it in next March, it won't activate until then

I bought mine last year before the Disney Club Card Expired so that I could take advantage of the extra discount.

I have them sitting in that safe spot waiting to get activated for our first trip HOME! But of course if they come out with the "Buy One get One Half Off" this fall, I get those and save the Annual until next time!

Know that's smart thinking Scratch!!! Maybe by the time we go they will have figured out some sort of incentive for DVC owners (well I can wish can't I!!!)

Free Parkhoppers but that was a long time ago.

As DVC'ers we still get a bit of a discount but not that great!LOL

Time will tell though!
