We are planning on going to Disneyland Sept 22, my question is, is it worth it to buy a pass, are the discounts for staying on property worth the savings? We are planning on staying on property either way. My DH would only go once but I would go more often. So I thought I would buy one pass and still receive the discount for the resort hotel. Any imput will be helpful.

The annual pass saved me around $400 for seven nights at paradise pier. The last price we say come up on the website was $1750 plus taxes, we are paying $1400 after all taxes & fees. Then you add in food savings, we generally spend around $1000 in food and that will be around $100 less with the AP. Any merch we buy will save us more. It's well worth it.

There might not be much availability for AP rooms in Sept. So I would find that out before you get the pass.

This^ If you call you can hear what that rate/availability looks like and then just get your AP before check in. Depending on your length of stay and dining plans - it can easily make sense to just get the one AP

The Disneyland Hotel has available AP rates for starting September 22(I don't know how many nights you are staying though). A Standard room is showing $293/night, a room with a view is $324/night. A view room at The Grand Californian is showing $414-464/night for that week.
