Question about Aladdin

Hello all!
When I started planning our trip for February almost a year ago it looked like Aladdin would be long gone by the time we got to DLR. We're now only 2 months away and Aladdin is still on. Has there been any indication as to how long Aladdin will be playing for? We haven't seen the show yet and it would be awesome to catch it!
Thanks!

It's on the calendar for Jan 31 so my guess is it will be playing at least through February.

Never seen it at DLR but saw it at WDW and loved it. When I was younger it was all about the rides but now I love to take a "break" and see a show.

Huh? It has never been at WDW to my knowledge.

DCA's show is absolutely amazing. It blows away DHS' Beauty and the Best and AK's Finding Nemo show.

It should be showing for quite some time. They just hired new actors for the show.

You are correct. Don't know what I was thinking.

When we saw it we where in the "upstairs" section which was great for the little kids.

Mike is quite correct. A year ago it appeared Aladdin was going to end but Disney decided to extend it. It will be around at least until the end of 2011 and probably longer. :)

Oh i really hope so. I thought i had read somewhere that it was going to be replaced with toy story from DCL. I guess i read that wrong. I really want to see Aladdin when were going in April.

Just to be clear, Aladdin hasn't been "extended" as in "it's going to be around for another few months." It has been "extended" as in there are no plans whatsoever to close the attraction anymore.

I used the word "extend" to convey that, yes, there were plans to close Aladdin (and replace it with Toy Story) but those plans changed - so Aladdin was "extended" in that sense.

Since Disney apparently did have plans to close Aladdin many people seem to think that Aladdin's future is limited. However you are right that talk of Aladdin closing seems to have gone away completely - and it apperas Aladdin will be around indefinitely - a good thing IMO! :)

I finally got to see it this time and thought it was amazing. My friend who was with me on the trip went to WDW in the spring and saw all their shows. She thinks Aladdin is better than any of them, especially the theater setting itself.

It's so nice hearing that not only will it be there for our trip but that it's so good to watch! I think it'll be a nice break from the rides and should be a good show :)

It is a great show, but I had kind of been excited about the idea of a Toy Story show too. I wish they would pick a second show (my vote would be for Little Mermaid) and use the venue to alternate. The most difficult part would be swapping out the sets (and I used to be a stage manager so I know that would be a huge obstacle), but if you had some creative set designs they could probably accomplish it.
For those of us that go often, seeing the same production can get a bit old, which is probably why they were thinking about cancelling it. In order to keep it fresh we skip it some years, but it would still be nice to see something new.
