Hi,

I was just wondering what everyone thought of Airtran? There prices are very reasonable right now for our trip in the spring. Now I understand that Airtran flies into one terminal and ME is in the other terminal. How do I get from one terminal to the next? I thought I would find this out before I book. Also, can I pick my own seats on Airtran? I would have 2 kids with me and don't want to be separated from them.
Thanks for you help :goodvibes

We love AirTran and fly with them almost exclusively. The planes are all reasonably new and we've always found the employees to be friendly and helpful. Prices are low and they have a great rewards program. Some people have a problem with flight times changing but that's never been my experience. It seems to be a bigger issue from some airports than others. You can book seats in advance for a $5 pp charge (each way). ME will send you directions from your terminal to the ME desk. I can be directionally challenged and I had no problem finding my way there.

Airtran is really easy to fly, to get to the ME termianal just follow all the signs (I think there are up if that makes sense, like look up and follow the signs) You will take a little monorail/subway train thingy to the next termial with your carry ons and then go down to the ME area.

It really is easier than this sounds! Basically follow the others or ask anyone working there if you get turned around. For $5 you can select your seats, we did this and it seems to be a great new feature!

Recently, AirTran moved to the B terminal which the same as the DME Arrivals desk. It really doesn't matter anyway, as the A and B terminals are just different sides of the same building. You can easily walk from one to the other.

Thanks for the replies! Airtran has out a price of 84 each way, I'm thinking of just booking it now! :goodvibes

I frequently fly AirTran and they are fine. I have had the experience of their making repeated schedule changes after I booked. I monitor the flights on their web site weekly. If the change was not acceptable to me I called. They have always accomodated me when I called. On one occasion the flight they changed me to when I called about a schedule change, actually was a better flight than the original, but it had initially been more expensive.
$84 is a great fare. I would grab it while I can!!

I say "go for it"! If you wait they might book quick or go up in price !I got tired of waiting for JB to put out their fares so I booked our return trip with AT, now I'm waiting for them to post the fares for our flight down!:goodvibes

I just noticed that my 84 each way is now 89 each way. I am hoping it doesn't go up too much before I can book with my TA, I am still too chicken to book it online myself :rolleyes1
I noticed online it said discount coach, then regular coach. Can I still book my own seats for 5 dollars on discount coach?
Thanks :goodvibes

I booked our $99 fare last Fri, it was a discount coach and yes I selected my seats... you should be able too also!:goodvibes
