Hi there. The past 2 trips I flew Midwest. Loved it and the price. This time, with 4 of us going, we decided to go Delta since it was cheaper. We are going on April 2006. I checked our itinerary online Monday and found that one of our flights were changed. I figured this is normal since we have over 8 months to go. I called them right away and the woman that helped me was extremely helpful. She got out seating all arranged so it was convenient for us. I'm just curious if anyone else has used Delta and what your experience is? DH has flown with them in the past and never had a problem. The less I have to think about the better. :smooth:

Our flight down (in Sept) was "modified", and I wouldn't have known it except for the fact that I happened to look at my itinary at Delta.com and noticed that they had cancelled my first flight and moved it to a bigger plane (about 20 minutes earlier). I called to make sure that we all got seats together and was assured that we were "good to go".

I'll let you know in Sept. if there was any trouble, but I don't anticipate that there will be.

::MinnieMo We flew Delta from Mobile to Orlando last February. It was a smaller plane but the service was great and the price was even better. We had a towncar pick us up from the airport...lovely. We arrived in style at the WL. ::MinnieMo

We are frequent customers of Delta seeing as though that's where most of our frequent flier miles are from. We have never had an issue with overbooking, seating arrangements, or anything like that. You will have to check your flight schedule often though as they are subject to change. They've been going through some cost-cutting efforts and one of the ways to do that is to consolidate the number of flights per day from certain locations.

If you have to change planes in Atlanta, just remember that it is one of the busiest airport in the world. If you have less than one hour, go straight to the next gate.

Also remember that as with most airlines you will only receive a snack and non-alcoholic drinks so if you're traveling around mealtimes, take that into account. Have a great trip!

Thank you so much for the posts. I'll make sure to pack some food in our carry on for the kids. We are leaving at 7:30 am so they will be hungry once we get on the plane. As of right now, we have about 1:30 between flights in Atlanta. I'm going to keep an eye on that so it doesn't get much closer in time. With 2 kids, I really don't feel like running around the airport.

and love both (especially Song). But, a word of warning. If they've changed your itinerary, you probably won't be able to use any tickets they've printed for you already. I'm not sure if ticket is the right term, but it's on a thicker stock, and has a bar code. You can use that at the automated check-in computers. However, when we went, because the flight changed (by about 5 minutes!), they gave it a new flight number, and the old passes wouldn't work. It took so long for them to figure out the problem and find us in the computer that we had to run to the plane (with 2 strollers, after being there over an hour early!). I don't blame Song for the mix-up, it was my TA's fault, but just allow extra check-in time and you'll be fine. HTH
