HI everyone!
I was so happy to find a board that actually focuses on canadians! :cheer2: We are going to WDW in November 2005 (around the 20th), I am begining to price airfares from Montreal, to see if it would be cheaper to drive to the states and catch a flight from there, or to take a direct flight from Montreal. But Air transat only published fares three months in advance...I know when we go to europe the fare changes alot depending on what time of the year you go...does anyone know what the fares were like last year?

Thanks a bunch,
Jessica a.k.a. Snuffy

Hi Jessica! We are going to WDW in November and the airfare for 2 including taxes such is just over $700 through Canjet. We priced Air Canada at about $900. We are flying out of Ottawa. Hope this helps :flower:

You will find much cheaper flights out of the states can Canada. You will just have to decide the pro's and con's of driving to the nearest US airport. I am only 3 hours from the BUffalo airport and 2.5 hours from Toronto so Buffalo is much better for us. We paid $451 for 6 of us to fly to Orlando in January from Buffalo (the same would have cost us $3000 from Toronto).

So if you can get to a US airport I would say check there first.

We were actually planning on driving to WDW until we discovered DIS and started reading about the Buffalo airport. We are about 3.5 hours from BUF and about 1.5 hours from Toronto. We ended up paying $800 US to fly out of BUF. Which may seem like a lot more then others have posted but considering we were flying at Christmas (peak season) I was very happy about the price. It would have cost us at least double that to fly out of Toronto at the same time.

Thanks Everyone!
I've been going back and forth between flying out of Montreal or U.S. To use S.W.A. we would have to drive at least 3.5 hours, and we are taking our 6 year old nephew who may not have the patience! :bounce: If I can find a comparable price from Montreal, even if its $20-30 more pp it might be worth the difference. i just wish air transat would publish their fares!

Just Keep In Mind.......

AT is a charter company and they can and have in my case, changed their flight times without any compensation for losing out on a full day!

I have not flown with them since they pulled this stunt and basically said I was SOL!

We just used Air Transat to fly to Orlando from Toronto. Our price was $315.00 taxes in. I was happy with that price. Prices are changing all of the time. If the flight is almost empty the prices are low and as it fills up they put the prices up. Keep checking on a regular basis until you see the price your happy with.

This happened to us as well - they didn't even tell us and we lost a day and 1/2 (one day for a day delay going and 1/2 day leaving in the morning instead of night)./

I was not impressed and the flight was not that great.

Now we try to fly Westjet or AC.
