Question About Aging Into Adult Activities

My daughter won't be 18 until next year, but I'm just wondering in advance about people that are now using the magic band+. Do they have to have their card with them too? (I'm not buying the bands--I think it's just another way for Disney to upcharge something unnecessary, but I'm sure other people will.)

I don't know what info is included on the bands. But, on the cruise, you will still have a card to be used for reboarding in ports. Personally, I prefer the card over the band anyway.

If you can shift your cruise date, she'll be able to take advantage of both teen and adult. Embarkation until the birthday = Vibe; then birthday to debarkation = Adult.

But that would mean not cruising "over Christmas" if you truly mean on the actual holiday. Depending on the birthday and cruise schedules, maybe New Years...

Thanks! Yes, we were looking at actual Christmas. Her birthday is New Year's Eve, and while that would be quite a celebration, we were looking at Christmas, specifically, because our oldest daughter will be deployed and we want to be away from home and the feeling of her not being there. Oh well, back to the drawing board!

She'll have to carry her card around in addition to the magic band. That's the main reason that my daughter doesn't use the magic band (although we have it for the parks also).
