question about ADRs

I feel it is better to make my own ADRs. That way I can be sure it gets done, be sure I get the full story about what is and isn't available, hear all the advisories that the reservations agent gives (dress code, park admission required, no smoking, etc.), etc. Also, that way, I can be sure to confirm that the reservations agent understood exactly what I wanted, and that I actually am confirmed for what I think I'm confirmed for.

Personally, I don't see much advantage to having a TA like AAA involved. It's just one more layer between me and Disney for something to get mixed up on.

I would make my own ADRs, for all the reasons Bicker listed. When I call to make ADRs, the CM often has questions I didn't anticipate or there are options that have to be considered, such as times or dates if my original requests aren't available. I want to be the one who makes the decisions regarding my ADRs.

Definitely make your own ADR'S! It makes you feel closer to the magic. Sometimes the CRO agent is right there in Florida and if she is nice enough, se can recommend places to try and answer your questions on certain new restaurants you would like to try.

I gave them a call yesterday and the nicest CRO agent chatted with me for a good 15 minutes. Talking about weather and crowds and MNSSHP. I just love calling Disney. Most of the CRO agents are really helpful and sweet.
