Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this or not. Or if it's been answered a 100 times before. :goodvibes

But I was wondering when you make an adr for a party of 10 (for example) and then only 8 or 9 show up for one reason or another (perhaps someone was ill) will they still seat you if your entire party isn't there?? :confused3

I ask because I have heard and read conflicting info on this and was wondering if anyone had personal experience with this happening.

Thanks for any info!!

Yes, this actually happened to us for our 2004 trip...My dad wasn't feeling well and we went to our ADR and just told them we were there to check in and since we originally had a party of 4 and went to 3 then I didn't tell them then since it wouldn't change the table they'd seat us at----we'd still be seated at a table for 4.
I don't see why they wouldn't seat you or your party if someone is missing?

If your party is all together, even though one has fallen off due to whatever, the ones that are together should be seated appropriately.....I mean if you were 10 and then dropped to 5, I might even call dining and redo the ressie, I would tell them before seating, but if you were 10 and dropped to 8 or 9, I am not sure I would bother to mention it before seating.. I might mention it to the waiter when you were seated so he is not expecting more people and will take away the extra place seatings..

Thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure. I have spoken to different people at Disney Dining and some have said to make sure the whole party shows up or they won't seat you, even it it's just one or two missing. Then when I spoke with Group Dining they said it won't matter and will not be a problem if one or two are missing.

I couldn't see why it would be, but you never know. Thanks again. :thumbsup2

What they were probably trying to say and maybe weren't clear is that your entire party needs to be present to be seated. Which means, if there are 10 of you and one has fallen ill, the other 9 must all be present to be seated. They do not want to seat say 6 of you while the other 3 are browsing in a shop somewhere and will show up "soon."

Gee I'm not sure I was much clearer here, but I hope this paints a better picture for you.

OKay, I understand that. So they won't seat the group until all parties are there? We have some adr's for over 20 people. That could be a pain if they don't all arrive right on time.

Thanks. :)
