Question About Adding a Resort Only Ressie

Hello everyone I hope I don't make this more difficult than it is, I don't know how to explain this.
We have a MYW vacation package with dining, 6 nights and 6 days. We check in on a Saturday and are due to check out on a Friday. But we are only going to be using 5 days worth of our tickets... So my question is.. We have decided we want to add another night, but we want to make a room only ressie (we dont' want to have to add it to the Dining Plan) - Can they transfer the day left on our tickets so that we can use them the day after our package ends? Does that make sense? Basically we are wanting to use the day left on our tickets the day after we check on that Saturday... Or are the tickets no good after you check out? I'm not sure if they are void once your package ends or what. Sorry for the confusing question. I truly am a newbie! Thank you all so much for your answers

Your tickets are good for fourteen days from first use. Just don't throw away your room keys, because they'll be coded onto that.

Due to the flight that we got going to WDW we are doing the same thing. We have done it in the past as well and have had no problems.
