I'm not currenty a member yet but soon I tell ya... still taking it all in and trying to decide on a smaller 100 point @ AKV but I'm curious as a current member are there incentives or specials for add ons every year? I just know I will add on in 2 or 3 yrs but it's ok just deferring a bit of the cost for now and since ny kids are small will be ok with a studio or 1 br.

It's like buying a car, there is always a deal being offered. Bonus bucks, magical price reduction for a limited time only, Developer points, gift cards, etc. The slower the sales are, the lower the point minimum purchase and the greater the deals being offered.

I would never determin a purchase by the current incentive. The incentives change, and there's always something around. We were ond of those unlucky ones who didn't get an incentive for ANY of our purchases! We didn't get the incentive for the original 230 because we didn't buy within 3 days of our tour. We didn't get a incentive for our 150 point add on because there wasn't one at that time. We didn't get the incentive for our 69 point add on because it wasn't enough points to take advantage of the incentive. We DID, however, get to use all those points the minute we put our money down though!

For future reference and for others reading... the three day ploy is used to get prospective buyers who are on the fence to commit. We got the same deal a week after our tour when we told our Guide, same incentive or no deal! We were told that our Guide was given "special" permission to extend the three day rule to one week.

Bottom line is that DVD is in the business of selling and you will find that they will do what ever it takes to make a sale.
