Question about add-on points (probably a stupid one - LOL)

We currently own at SSR (just bought last year), I'm already thinking about buying more points (I have no idea when we'll buy, I need to talk DH into still ). I'd like a small contract at a different resort, so my question is can I buy small contracts through Disney for a different resort? I know when we bought ours we had to buy a minimum of 150, but I'm thinking we'd only want to buy 75 at a different resort.

Yes, members may add on as few as 25 points at any resort. The add-on will have the same Use Year as your original purchase and will be a separately deeded part of your original contract.

For current members (as of March 4, 2007) - reportedly good until June 4, 2007.

AKV = $101 pp - $8 incentive = $93 with minimum purchase of 100 pts.
SSR = $101 pp - $10 incentive = $91 with minimum purchase of 50 pts.

OKW = $92
HHI = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 with minimum purchase of 50 pts.
VB = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 with minimum purchase of 50 pts.
BWV = $95
VWL = $95
BCV = $95

I bought into BWV last May and just did a 50 point add-on at BCV today. I believe they call it Addonitis around here.

but if the add on points are selling at AKV for 93 bucks a point why would you buy more then the minimum at 104 then once the paper work is done add on an additional 50

i ask this because we are looking at 210 - 220 so why not buy 160 at $104 then addon 50 at $93 we would save about $500 with an addon?

so why do people buy 200+ to start with?

Current members (as of March 4) would need to purchase a minimum of 100 points to get the $93 price. Add-on of less than 100 points would be at $101.

First time buyers are already looking at $104 minus any incentive for AKV. If you purchased after March 5 (the date AKV began sales to the public), the pricing would still be $104 for purchases under 100 points (minus any incentive available at the time).

For new purchases after March 5, 2007 (minimum purchase of 160 pts.):

AKV = $104 - $8 incentive = $96
SSR = $104 - $10 incentive = $94

OKW, HH and VB = $92
BWV = $98
VWL = $98
BCV = $101

I believe the minimums for add-ons for new members after 3/5/07 will still be 100 at AKV and 50 at SSR to get the pricing above at those resorts.
