Question about AAA and possible new code

I don't know much about the codes, I have a package booked for 5/16 - 5/21 which I booked direct through Disney. If I got a AAA membership could I have Disney apply the discount? Now for the tricky part if a code comes out for say free hopper tickets like the last code could I also get that too or can I only get the AAA package. I saw where someone post a link to AAA about buying just a 2 month membership and it would fall in the time that I am going but don't know if that would qualify as a AAA membership. I am so confused about these codes. HELP Linda

you can call them and see if the AAA rate is available for your dates, and if so they will apply it to your rate. if you see a better rate or offer later on, they can change it to that code instead. i'm pretty sure it's only one code at a time.

for my 6/2003 trip, i started with the AAA rate 10 months out, and then had 2 or three better codes come out prior to the vacation (thank you mousesavers!). they adjusted my rate each time, and i watched a moderate room go from about $149ish (w/o AAA) all the way down to $79ish (i don't remember the exact numbers....) in stages.

you don't actually have to have your AAA membership until you check in (just in case they ask to see your card). Actually, we use our AAA card for discounts at all kinds of hotels/car rentals, etc., and very seldom does anyone actually want to see the card, but, you never know....

If you want to use a AAA discount for a package, then you need to book it through AAA. You can't ask Disney to apply the AAA rate to a package. Disney can give you the AAA rate for a room only reservation, but a package with the AAA discount on the room can only be made through AAA itself.
If a different code comes out for a free dining plan, and you have a package booked, then you should be able to change it, to apply the code. If you have it booked through AAA you should also be able to apply the code.
If you want to book a room with a AAA discount, you may or may not need to be a member before booking the room. Sometimes Disney will ask for the membership number when booking the room, and sometimes they don't. If you try to book with AAA to get a package, I believe they will only book the package for members.
