Is that allowed on this board!? :rotfl2: Actually I shouldn't laugh, because someone will probably be seriously upset about it. :rotfl:

Has anyone done the Spiderman/super heroes breakfast there? First, how is it? Second, can you do it without park admission? We're still debating whether to do Universal this trip, but were thinking that doing the character breakfast might be fun for the kids. Just curious...

thanks

Go to downtown disney! :)

That's the only place I know that they have a "universal breakfast"

Here's the menu:

Big Mac - $2.69
Hamburger - $.99
Cheeseburger - $1.09
Quarterpounder w/cheese - $2.79
Double Quarterpounder w/cheese - $3.49
Big N' Tasty $2.79; with cheese add $.30
Crispy Chicken $3.49
Chicken McGrill $3.49
Filet-O-Fish $2.49

Chicken McNuggets
6 Pieces - $2.69

9 Pieces - $3.39
20 pieces - $6.29

Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel Meal - $4.19

Supersize for $.59

that's about as 'universal' as it gets!!!!

:earboy2:

Wow...

okay, the reason I posted it here is because all of you are such food experts on this board, seriously and there is no specific "universal restaurant" board.

Is that allowed on this board!?
**I expect so.
Actually I shouldn't laugh, because someone will probably be seriously upset about it.
**That IS possible.

Has anyone done the Spiderman/super heroes breakfast there?
**Not me, nor anyone I personally know.

First, how is it?
**Good question.

Second, can you do it without park admission?
**No idea?

We're still debating whether to do Universal this trip, but were thinking that doing the character breakfast might be fun for the kids. Just curious...
**Yet again, 'wow', another "good" question - don't know.

While Everyone, always here and everywhere thinks of themselves as "experts" (food and otherwise) my best personal advice is to go, and try something. If you're interested in it, and have an open mind - there is a chance you'll enjoy something new! :)
(personally, I'll never visit a non Disney "theme" park, but to each their own! :) )

We did the SPiderman breakfast last year. It was great. There was also the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch and another superhero whose name I forget. We had the earliest reservation and the character interaction was great. The food was good also.

Here's is a great thread from the Universal board about the Spiderman character breakfast http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=703342

It sounds wonderful and we hope to do it too. My boys will be thrilled. Look at the photos on that thread.... wonderful!!! It's not clear whether you need theme park admission or not. Here's a link to info on it at the universal website
http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/what_new.html

Here's what it says........
"Swing in for a Character Breakfast at Islands Of Adventure!
Have breakfast at Islands of Adventure with Spider-Man® and the Cat in the Hat each everyday from March 17th to April 3rd from park opening to 10:30 a.m. at Confisco Grille. After meeting the Marvel Super Heroes and Dr. Seuss Characters, experience high-flying excitement on the “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man” ride, with your paid admission to Islands of Adventure.
The breakfast is $15.95 for Adults and $9.95 for children, plus tax and gratuity. Call 407-224-4012 for reservations. "

The fact that it emphasises that you need "paid admission" to do the ride might mean you don't need paid admission to do the breakfast?? Just a thought. Good luck and happy eating!

Im not upset about it, LOL, but I will move this post to the Orlando Attractions Board, where it's more appropriate. You should also get more responses there than you will here. Hope that helps! :)

i recently emailed RPR concierge staff to get character meal information... here is the response i received (which does not say anything about park admission, nor does it give the hours for the meal at RPR... i just hope it's not breakfast since it's "chinese buffet!" LOL!)

Royal Pacific Resort
Islands Dining Room - Monday (Curious George & Woody Woodpecker), Tuesday (Popeye & Olive Oil), Saturday (Shaggy & Scooby Doo)
Monday & Tuesday - Regual Menu, Saturday - Chinese Style Buffett

Islands of Adventure
Confisco's - Thursday - Sunday 9:00am - 10:30am (Cat in the Hat, Spiderman, Thing 1, Thing 2, Captain America)
Buffett - $17.00 Ad, $11.00 Ch

If you go to the Spiderman breakfast at islands of adventure, you need to pay park admission as its inside the gates.

I do believe there are character breakfasts at the hotel restaurants. These are on certain nights and rotate between the restaurants. I am not really sure of which day has which restaurant.

Maggie

The Universal board was where this thread should have been moved to. There are a lot of reviews of Universal dining there.
