We'll be doing a trip next year for my niece's 3rd birthday. She will turn 3 halfway through the trip. I know Disney's policy on the park ticket, that she is the age for the entire trip that she was when she arrived which will be 2. For her birthday meal, and the other two character meals we have planned after her birthday will we need to pay the child's rate. Not a problem if so, just want to budget accordingly. We're taking her to the Luau for her actual birthday.

We also took our daughter and son both to Disney when they turned each turned 3. Their birthdays were during the trip. The CM's I spoke to both times said they base it on the age they are at check in. So I was told to list them as 2 on every ADR even after their birthdays. My daughter is now 4 so I am not sure if the policy has changes since a year ago. Good luck

She will be considered as age 2 for the entire package, including dining. We just went through the same situation back in December. We scheduled ADR's for 3 and made sure they knew she was under 3 and not on the dining plan. She was allowed to share all of our meals and no purchase necessary at buffets for her meal. I did make a point to remind the server at each and every meal. I do recall buying her a kids meal OOP at one of the TS meals and that was fine too.
