Hi! I'm doing some VERY advanced planning for my trip next spring to DLR. My baby sister will be coming out for her spring break, and she will have just turned 15. She came for her spring break this year and we had such a blast (her first time, and my first time in about 20 years) so it was really memorable, and I think it will become a tradition of ours. When we would ride on POTC, she asked me about BB and I told her that it was a restaurant, but that we needed reservations, so we didn't go this year, but I was hoping to make this next trip more special and go. Unfortunately, I showed her the menu and she's not sure if she's really "into" any of their dishes. She likes salmon and steak, but based on the descriptions, I'm worried any special sauces or weird side dishes might turn her off. Just wondering if any of you have gone to BB with family members around this age, what dishes would you recommend? She's in that weird gap where she's more adventurous than the kids menu (and is too old anyway), but still likes some 'safe' options. I really want to go to BB, but don't want to waste the money if she won't enjoy it. Thanks!

DH and I had the filet and chicken and I think both were excellent without being overly fancy. I think the filet was the only one of the two that had a sauce on it and I bet you could get it on the side. :goodvibes

Every one of my kids and my niece (15) LOVE it. My kids like the chicken, New York steak, and the salmon. They didnt like the mahi mahi or the short ribs. they usually get 3(or 4 if our niece is there) different and then share. I would say do it. it is a nice experience!

Thanks for the input! I will admit that I am having a hard time deciding what I want myself lol, but it's because EVERYTHING sounds good. I thought surf and turf would be the easy choice, but the pictures I've seen on this site of the chicken makes it look so yummy!

I am not a huge fan of chicken, I like it, but would not normally order it anywhere. I ordered it because DH got the filet and I didn't want to get the same thing as him. With that being said, I LOVED it! It was so good. I thought it was better than the filet...

shoot I have to be honest, I don't care about the main course there anyway! Give me the potatoes and the salad and I am one very happy woman! lol
Also I just love being in there!

Same exact thing here! I can't recall a time that I went to a nice restaurant and ordered "the chicken". I always figure if I want some bland, dry chicken, I'll just make it at home (lol)! It looks really juicy in the pictures though. Mmmm...

The Tesoro Island Chicken is sooooooooooo good!!! I'm not a big chicken orderer either, but I really enjoyed the chicken at BB! :) DD13 likes the steak, she likes ALL kinds of steak. LOL
