Question about 90 + 10 ADR's

Okay....this may seem like a no-brainer, but I need to know if I'm looking at my ADR reservations correctly for our upcoming trip.....with the 90 + 10 does this mean:

9/21 - 10/1 stay.....10-nights, 11-days

9/21 is the 90-day ADR window opening and I can make reservations for 10 days thereafter - until 1/1

OR

9/21 is the 90-day ADR window opening and is day 1 of the 10 days of ressies I can make, meaning I would need to call the next day to do reservations for 10/1

If you are arriving on 9/21 and checking out on 10/1/09 for 11 nights -

You can call on your 90 days prior on 6/23/09 and make reservations for your 90 days (9/21) plus 10 more days - this means you can make ADR's for your entire trip.
