We've only stayed in 2-bdrms at OKW before, and we're HUGE coffee drinkers :crazy2:! Does anyone know how many cups the coffee maker makes in the 3-bdrm? Is it a larger coffee maker? It would be nice to not have to make a 2nd pot before we head out in the mornings :P.

All DVC Rooms regardless of size should have a full size (10-12) cup Mr Coffee style brewer.

If you think you would need it, you can call housekeeping and ask them to bring a second brewer.

We recently (last month) stayed at a Grand Villa at OKW and we're huge coffee fans too. There were 10 of us (4 kids) and we brought our Keurig along with us to supplement. So, the 12-cup pot was for 4 people while DH and I made our coffee in our Keurig. You'll want to bring flat-bottom filters with you though - we didn't think about that and ended up using paper towels, which worked fine surprisingly!

you can buy the filters in the resort shops, they aren't that expensive and don't give off the taste you get from paper towel ;)

I've used the paper towel trick a time or two. I never noticed any odd taste from the towels (especially since they don't use more "expensive" printed design ones.)
But the Dunkin hazelnut I normally bring probably adds enough flavor to combat any slight oddity ;)

But yes, I now double-check and make sure I bring normal, flat bottom paper filters, because none are provided :)

I'd walk to Olivia's before I used a paper towel! Ewwwwww

It's a great hack if you don't have filters. And no "paper towel" taste IMO. Can't say I even know what that is. All you are looking for is something to prevent the grounds from entering the pot.

Wait a minute - they don't provide filters with the coffee pot?

The coffee comes pre-packed in a filter. It's just if you bring more loose grounds that you'll need to provide a filter.

We never experienced any taste from paper towel - it kept the grounds out of the coffee and tasted great! Not that I'd recommend doing that on a regular basis, but there was no way I was schlepping out to the Hospitality House and 6 in the morning in my nightie . . . BEFORE coffee no less!! :scared:
