Last year, for the first time, the Friday night MVMCP tickets were not discounted for advance purchases. I was wondering; does anyone have any idea of the rationale behind this decision? Is is just because they know that Friday night's parties sell out every year so ther was no need to discount the tix, or perhaps it was a ploy to get more people to go other nights to even the crowds? I'm assuming they didn't sell any less tix for Friday than the other nights (if they did, I'd gladly pay the extra $$!), but it just seemed odd to me.

I'm worrying about it because I like to go to MVMCP for my birthday on the 8th, which happens to be on a Friday this year. I might go on Thursday instead if the crowds are smaller, and saving $5 or whatever it is this year would be nice too...So, anyone have any insights? Were the crowds lower on other nights, or were they pretty much even last year?

We went on the first Tuesday and it was not sold out. I think they probably didn't discount Fridays because they do sell out. This is more from the locals going more on Fridays than people travelling to WDW to holiday. I would go on any other night; you'll have a better time, and if they give a discount for the other nights you'll save some $ as well. Besides, if you hang tough 'till the end of the night you'll be there on your birthday anyway! :hyper:
