Question About 10 Day Pass Usage

Hello,
The 10 day pass I purchased says I have 14 days to use it from first use. Does that mean I have the day of 1st use plus 14 days. Or the day of use plus 13 days to use it? Does anyone know?

I didn't realize this limit (good thing I was reading the fine print). We have a split stay. 7 nights at a Disney hotel, then 4 nights at a Universal hotel and then 5 nights back at a Disney hotel. I have to figure out exactly how I'm going to make this work!

I just phoned Disney. I'm being told that I have the first day of use PLUS 14. For a total of 15. I hope that is correct. I asked the lady three times if she was sure and she assured me she was. Now why don't I trust it......

Because you shouldn't always trust a phone CM, especially when their answer runs counter to that provided by the previous poster.

agreed. you have a 14 day window in which to use your ticket entitlements. that window opens on the day that you first use that ticket at a tapstile to enter one of the parks.

Thank you for all the responses. I really didn't mean to offend anyone.

Is it possible to add a day to a 10 day pass?

i'm not sure. the most i've ever seen is 10 days. i don't know if it is maybe possible to add on another day once you are there.

ETA: looking at Robo's ticket sticky, he says that you cannot add more days to a 10-day ticket.

10 days, total, (original purchase and/or upgrade) is the limit on a Magic Your Way ticket.

There are special 14-day tickets available for purchase in the United Kingdom.

From the Ticket Sticky:

14 or 21 Day Ultimate Park Hopper (sometimes called "United Kingdom (UK) Tickets")
These are valid for unlimited entry for one person to all the parks, both primary and secondary, for either 14 or 21 days from first use.
They are sold by Disney in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
They can be ordered through www.disney.co.uk but will not be shipped to the United States or Canada.
People in the USA sometimes ask friends or travel agents in the UK to purchase these tickets
and then ship the tickets to the USA.
These can be upgraded to Annual Passes, based on the current exchange rates.

Not a UK resident. Proudly Canadian :)
I guess we will have to suck up the price of a one day ticket if we want that one extra day in the parks.

Thank you all for your help.
I really do appreciate it.

Guest services at your hotel can add additional days to your tickets (about $20 per day). There is no guarantee that they will, it is done primarily to placate disappointed guests, but I would ask them before purchasing a separate single day tickets.

I will definitely ask. Thank you!

If you aren't already, consider doing a water park on that extra day. They are great too!

I'm not a "bathing suit" kind of person but we are sitting here talking about maybe doing a Halloween Party right at the beginning of our trip and that way we wouldn't use the park pass until the next day which would then take us to the end of our trip without issue. Just trying to decide if going to the Halloween party on October 26th (a Friday) will be busier than going on the night we originally planned - 29th (a Sunday).

That would make so much sense and work out great for your trip! I would do it - even if it is marginally busier.

I am also slightly irritated by the 10day max ticket. As a fellow Canadian we book a longish trip in order to make the costs of flights and exchange etc worthwhile - but on the other hand an AP still isn't worth the cost for 11 days. I've done the math, a lot, and even considered resort and merchandise discounts.
That being said we use our no-park ticket day to hit a party.

It's just my adult daughter and myself on this trip. I got an annual pass for myself (for merchandise, food, potential room discounts) and the 10 day pass for my daughter. We too booked a longer trip and made the mistake of planning 3 universal days in the middle of the trip which in hindsight probably wasn't the best idea. We were trying to catch the Halloween party at the beginning of our trip (my daughter did NOT want to be at Universal at the beginning because their Halloween stuff is not her style) and then wanted to be back at Disney at the end of our trip to catch the Christmas party. There should seriously be a training class one could take before planning a trip! The folks here that know so much could charge a good fee for it and I for one would have willingly paid it! Now I'm stressing about being up at 4:00 a.m. in a few days to get reservations for a few things and wondering what my changes are. Sigh. I will LOVE it when I'm there and so glad to get to go again.

We were at Disney World a few years back and the information on these boards was invaluable. I guess I had forgotten some of what I learned last time. Old age you know!!

Good luck and have fun. Sounds like you have a lot planned to happen over a pretty long trip. I hope you planned in some down time also. :)

Sounds like a good idea.

The HHN stuff at Universal doesn't impact the normal park-goer in meaningful way EXCEPT that the days of the party Studios closes early. There are structures built, but they aren't really scary in the daylight and there are no scare-actors out etc. IMO it's nothing to worry about.

You likely still have plenty of time (all possible discounts aren't even out yet for Universal onsite hotels, for instance) to switch things around. Are you posting on the Uni board to talk about that part of your trip?
