Hmm let me try to remember. They were in 3 different bowl-shaped tacos, and there was a chicken caesar salad, a cobb salad and another one I didn't really fancy which had bits of grapefruit in - or some kind of citrus fruit anyway! I wasn't bothered because I couldn't have eaten them all anyway...

Sounds good to me! I love fruit in salad... And I love slices of citrus fruit!!

Someone near us had a salad and I must say that it looked gorgeous, but huge- The guy left some of it though and joked to the waiter that he was leaving the rest of the salad garden!! Lol!

I've just copied this from an old trippie, just bear in mind that it was from August 2006.

We had decided to try the Rainforest Café tonight. We have enjoyed eating at the Rainforest in Animal Kingdom at WDW and the one in London so were looking forward to eating here. We were seated within 5 minutes but had to wait quite a long time to be served. Never mind, at least we were sat down. Bryan, Samantha and I all had Rio's Salad Trio. This is a trio of salads in tortilla shells: Caesar salad, River wild and Volcanic Cobb salad. It was very nice but rather too large a portion and none of us managed to finish it.

Danielle had cheeseburger and fries and Francesca had chicken nuggets and fries. They both had Smarties pop-up ice-creams for dessert whereas Bryan, Samantha and I had Paradise Lemon Twist, which is lemon meringue pie. We had cocktails which were nice but I can’t remember which ones they were. Must have had too many!

The food was nice but the service was very lacking and I think this does have a big effect on how you review a meal. Although in all fairness it was very busy and the staff did seem rushed off their feet. I always love the theming of the Rainforests but don’t think I would hurry back to this one again.

The salads were very nice but one would have been plenty! The one on the left is a Caesar, the one in the middle is the fruit one with salmon and the one on the right is the Cobb.

Thanks for that...we have one night spare without our HB vouchers (as we are using them on the last day) and I don;t know whether to go here, or maybe go to the london or vegas one another time.......

It would probably be the ribs I'd go for....

Robert had the ribs when we went and he really loved them... He still goes on about them!

Fiona35, I think you might have just got them on a bad night! Our meal was wonderful and every member of staff we encountered was FAB!

Cool! Thanks for the vote of confidence!! It was the photos of you df's ribs that made me fancy them! Your burger was immense!!

Would they frown upon us sharing a main and a side between us? I just cant eat that much!!!

I don't know about the sharing.... I think someone on a table near us was doing it.... Don't hold me to that though!

Yeah... The burger was pretty awesomely huge!! It was a lot bigger than it looked on the pictures!

Not long until I'm back in here now.....!! Theres a load of stuff I fancy off the menu........... Anyone got a recommendation? I want something different to last time, and I was thinking maybe Rasta Pasta? Or the Rainforest Noodles look good..... Or the River Wild Salad??? Or maybe just sit in there all day and order meal after meal after meal???

Any idea how scary the thunderstorms would be for a 16 month old?

I'd like to eat there but would have the little man with us and not sure how he would handle it!

I think it would depend. The thunderstorms are just a little bit of thundery noise, the lights flash a bit, and the animals move and make noises. Is he good with noise? Does thunder scare him? If he isn't phased by noise he should be okay. But sometimes children take a dislike to some of the most bizzare things!!

Well he loved the thunderstorms we had the other day but hates the sound of the hoover or the tumble dryer.

Are you able to go in just for a drink? That way we could tell if he was going to be ok with it.

I'm not sure if you can just go in for a drink. Couldn't hurt to ask though. Most of the little ones when we were in there were fine with it, and you could tell their parents had been expecting tantrums!! Lol!

Bob why not try the taco salad trio, that was fantastic!
As for the thunder, both of ours have been scared by it, since it does get darker as well. Not scared enough to run screaming out of the restaurant though.

Its very tempting..... Yum Yum.... I just don't know if I could eat all three! Or even a bit of all three!! Lol!!

I never noticed it get darker.... Shows how into my food I was!! Lol!!!
