OK! So I was sitting outside of a café, happily enjoying a little cake, when a pigeon crash lands right into the Black Forest Gateau, feathers flying everywhere. The owner comes out, flapping his arms, screaming, "No, no! Quel Disastro!" before wheeling the sweets back into the store. Literally 2 minutes later, the puddings reemerge sans pigeon. Like heck did they have time to get a new one out or replace it. Needless to say, I didn't go for a slice of the gateau.

In related news, I saw a squirrel fall out of a tree yesterday. A big clump of Spanish moss fell almost at my feet with an unexpected thud. A squirrel hopped out and ran back up the tree.
