I wake up feeling awful. As we have no pressing engagements until the Halloween party in the evening, I sleep in until 11.30am to try and give my body some time to deal with the cold. Eventually I get up and shower, and then we head off back to Sanford to exchange the car. We arrive and speak to Linda at Dollar (after arguing with the parking area supervisors who can't figure out that we're coming to have the car looked at, not to return it.) She tells us that the car we currently have is a few levels above the economy we paid for (bye bye free upgrade) and that it would be better, quicker and easier to simply change the car than have anyone come out to look at the steering. We agree to this and go outside to find a white Nissan Sentra. We sit in it and look at one another, it's not exactly thrilling. Inside, Scott had seen a picture of a Dodge Charger and had enquired about the upgrade cost for next year - $25 per day. The decision is made to ask if any Chargers are currently available, one is and we bite the bullet and take it, unhappy with the thought of the diddy Nissan for a week - Linda even discounts us $15 a day! The Charger is HUGE and so much better than the Nissan! The drive back down to Kissimmee is incredibly smooth.

As we'll be out at the party all night, we decide to have our sit down meal at lunchtime and so we drive down to the Ponderosa on the 192. We each get a 9oz sirloin steak and have a buffet with some absolutely wonderful bread! I finish it up with 8 different flavours of jelly, just because I could. We head back to Summer Bay and chill out for a few hours before nipping over to Downtown Disney where it starts pouring with rain. We dive into the Earl of Sandwich and share a chocolate mousse before driving over to the MK for the party. As we pull up to pay for parking, we are handed sweets along with the ticket, a theme for the evening. The rain is still hammering down so I abandon my costume in the boot. By the time we've go to the tram, we're already half drowned and, as the tram rounds a corner, water pooled in the corner washes over the seat and soaks both our behinds!

On entering we are given our orange Trick or Treat bags. We head straight to Liberty Square and hit the Haunted Mansion first, what else? Next up is Big Thunder and Pirates of the Caribbean. We find a space in Liberty Square for the parade but it's cancelled due to the continuing rain and the Rainy Day parade comes out instead which really winds an already slightly depressed crowd up even more as booing can be head throughout the park. We head over to Main St and grab a cookie from Casey's Corner. I stand outside in the middle of Main St and manage to stay there for the fireworks with no one standing in front of me. Hallowishes is absolutely amazing and finally gets the park into party mood now the rain has finally eased off. Once the show is over we wander over into Tomorrowland and do Buzz Lightyear, the TTA (which we use to film out over the park), the Barnstormer and Peter Pan, we also go on a Trick or Treat trail to fill up our bags which we've been gradually adding to each time we passed a candy stand. We go back to Main St for the second parade run which makes it out now the rain has finished, but without the Headless Horseman. The parade is brilliant too but overshadowed by the earlier fireworks, the best floats are easily the Haunted Mansion and Pirates ones. Once it's over, we go back around to Tomorrowland for our free photo which is rather cheesy to say the least (just look at the way they got us to hold hands, all together now - awwwww!) We go to Toontown for pics and follow the paths around through Liberty Square, taking photos all the way, to Big Thunder which we take a ride on before exiting with two bags groaning with Candy!

It's late so the drive home is a fast one. It's well past midnight so Linda
and Graham are already in bed when we arrive. We silently unload and grab a couple of pieces of Candy before going to bed, shattered and glad we slept in that morning!!

Glad you were felling better, Nice car :thumbsup2

The party sounds great, even though you were rather wet. I'd love to do this one day.

MNSSHP!! How I love it, can't wait for this year's! I am really excited to see Hallowishes, as I love Wishes so much. I am very impressed that you had eight different kinds of jelly, yum.
