I saw a post about the beds at CSR but now I can't find it- which areas have queens? I'm going in October and would like to stay in Cabanas, but I'll stay in Ranchos or Casitas if that is where the queen beds are. Also - do the rooms have refrigerators?

The Ranchos now have the queen beds; Casitas 4 and 5 have the queen beds and they are working on the rest of the Casitas and then Cabanas will be last. Guesstimate is that they will have them all in by end of September to start the other rehab in October.

Yes, all rooms have refrigerators.

I do not know how complete the transition is from Full to Queen beds throughout CSR. They were definitely working on it while we were at CSR because we saw workmen moving mattresses in and out of the rooms in our area. We were there 8/20-24 and had Queen beds in Casitas 4. We also had refrigerator and coffee-maker in our room.

All the ranchos, casitas 3, 4, and 5 are complete. 7 buildings down, 6 to go. They should be done by October with all the buildings.

So the queen bed conversion should be done by October? That's great news...we arrive 10/4. We would prefer the Casitas (or Cabanas) section, but I was afraid we might have to request Ranchos to get the queen beds.

Also, KatMark mentioned they would start the other rehab in October. What rehab is this? Is it the conversion of some rooms to concierge or something else?

Thanks everyone for the info! I'm now even more excited about our trip!

Oops! Buzz, I just saw your post on another thread saying that all rooms should have queen beds by November...guess when you said in this thread that "they should be done by October" you meant sometime in October...not necessarily by the first of October? I'll just keep my eye on the boards to see what the status of the conversion is before making any room requests. I'd love to get a queen bed...that was always one of the biggest drawbacks for me in booking a moderate as opposed to a deluxe. I'm a tall girl and like to have my space when I sleep. But, heck, I'd probably be content with a blanket on the floor at WDW.:cool1:

We will be there starting Monday for nine days and when we return (after five days in Daytona), I will post an update as to how far they've gotten with the queen beds.

In that post the OP stated she was going in November. I said or meant to say that the process should be compete by then. I think they will be done by October because that is when the rehab is scheduled to start.

Stayed Casitas 4 this past week and we had queen beds :) Much more room and I felt more at home since I have a queen here. The guys were busting butt...I saw many days where they were working on the rooms and taking mattresses up and down the elevators and there were 4 trailor trucks of mattresses parked behind the casitas all week.

I just called to get a quote and the CM told me that CSR has double beds. Should I call back? We would love to stay there. The only reason we stay at Deluxes is for the queen beds. If CSR has queen beds, I will book that!

I can promise there are queen beds already in a good portion of the resort. I have the tags photographed to prove it...Also I put the 4 kids laying across the foot of the bed to show the size. Check out my TR (http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=27028206&postcount=98) with photos.

Just called back and spoke to another CM and they said that they don't know anything about changing the bedding.

So, I am going to call the hotel directly to get my question answered!!!!
It looks like such a nice place to stay. I would love to try it.

I had to talk to 3 CM's and really be insistant to talk to someone who knew anything about the switchover, but I got verbal confirmation from someone in guest services last week that they were doing it. It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to admit it. I think it is probably b/c they don't have all the rooms done yet, and when they go to bbook a room it still sys two double???

we aren't planning on going until March 15. They should all be changed by then, don't you think?

Its not that they wont admit it its that they dont know. There has been ZERO information given to reservation castmembers regarding bedding changes

I agree. They don't have alot of the info on things that can or cannot happen at the resorts.

Thank you so much! Hope you guys have a great trip!

Gotcha! I see now what you meant...just interpreted it wrong when I read it. That's great news, though! Thanks for all the info!

Thanks for the pics...I love that you even took a pic of the tag for proof!:rotfl: Did you find that the room seemed "cramped" with the addition of the queen beds? Not that I would really care as about all we do in the room is get ready and sleep...just curious.
